Sr. Pursuit's Mission Trip to Nashville

In early August, 2011, eleven Sr. Pursuit youth and four adult advisors traveled to Nashville, TN on a mission trip to assist with the ongoing efforts to recover from the devastating floods of May 2010.  The group helped demolish a house that was too badly damaged to be restored, painted the walls of restored Sunday school classrooms in a small Methodist church, and helped deliver replacement furniture to people who had lost theirs in the floods.  Although the weather produced heat indexes above 100° all week, the group worked hard and was also able to spend time in downtown Nashville, “The Music Capital of the World.”  The group arrived back home knowing they had made a real contribution to the relief efforts and a positive difference in many peoples’ lives.
