Journeys

Grades 10-12

Young Adults in the church are invited to join in this group that meets monthly on Sunday mornings to explore topics of interest and discuss current events in a Christian context.

The Journeys Goal:

Gather information and skills needed for reasoned and sound decision making as Christian adults in today’s world.

Recent topics have included: Growing up Muslim in Walpole schools, Racism, Road Rage, Selective Service Conscientious Objections, Climate Change, ethics and lying, cheating, stealing, Open and Affirming - what does it mean, and Godspell, the musical. Issues may spring from books, videos, newspaper articles, personal experience or political discourse. Participants are encouraged to propose topics, examine what they know, consider new information and formulate a personal position.
