Bible Study has had a very successful year and will resume in the fall. Below is description of the program.

“Bible Study Answers a Need”

I think we’ve struck a chord with our ongoing bible study. Attendance is growing and people are responding positively to the approach we’ve taken. Having two sessions of the same class each Monday has certainly been helpful to many. (We meet at 1 pm at New Pond Village and 7 pm at the church.) There’s plenty of space for more folks at both sites.

The key to the program is to use more than just intellect to interpret scripture. We include feelings, intuition, and imagination. We learn a great deal about the history, the customs, the rituals, the languages of the bible, but when it comes to the meaning of a particular passage we apply it to the circumstances of our own lives. In that sense, we are all “experts.”

I’ve designed the classes to be individually accessible—in other words, you don’t have to attend a prior class to understand the present one.

SO...IF YOU’VE EVER THOUGHT, “GEE, I’D LIKE TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THE BIBLE,” ... THIS IS YOUR CHANCE!

You’ll be amazed at how much confidence you’ll gain in a short amount of time, and I also guarantee you’ll have fun! (That’s right-FUN!)

Bring your own bible (any translation) or accept one as a gift from the church.
